Stylish Liverpool wedding
Waaaaay back in July I had the honour of shooting Fran & Iain’s Liverpool Town Hall and Leaf wedding. Their big day was relaxed, fun and insanely cool!
The day started at The Powder Rooms where the girls were getting their hair and make-up done before heading back to Fran & Iain’s home to finish off the bridal prep with the help of some bubbles! Fran and the girls were really excited, laughing and joking all morning and then before we knew it, it was time to get dressed. And WOW! How amazing did Fran look in her Catherine Dean outfit? Stylish, elegant and just bloody gorgeous!

I knew Iain would look just as good and I wasn’t disappointed when I arrived at the town hall, what a suit! Top marks for dapper-ness (I know that’s not a word!) Mr Burge! The town hall was looking as stunning as ever and was filled with family and friends, all excited to see Fran & Iain tie the knot! The ceremony was short and sweet, made even sweeter by a reading from two of their friends and an adorable poem by Fran’s nephew Ted!
After the drinks reception I took the newlyweds off to Oh Me Oh My where we gatecrashed their roof terrace so we could get some shots with the famous Liver Building in the background. From there we headed to Moorfields station to meet the guests and jump on a train to Liverpool Central! The staff were amazing in getting everyone on safely and transporting them (one stop) across the city! Yes, Merseyrail!
Leaf Liverpool wedding photographer
As the guests were heading to Leaf I grabbed Fran & Iain for a few more shots around Bold Street and the bombed out church before they made their entrance into the wedding reception. Leaf looked fantastic decked out in colourful lights and woodland creatures inspired decorations and cake! It had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, filled with smiling faces and laughter throughout the speeches and dancing, all topped off with a glitter canon during the first dance!
Mr & Mrs Burge, thank you for asking me to be a part of your big day! It was so much fun to watch you having so much fun! You’re all crazy do you know that?! Hahaha!! Lots of love xx
