I was recently lucky enough to visit Italy to second shoot a wedding for my incredibly talented friend, Rachel Lambert!
The wedding itself was in Sorrento but Rach booked us into a hotel in Capri beforehand so we could have a little rest day in preparation for Nadine & Dan’s big day. Capri is stunning! We arrived in the busy harbour where we stopped for a beer and some bruschetta before making our way to the hotel. We spent a few hours that evening looking round, taking photographs of the architecture and the views (obviously) and sampling the local food and wine!
The next day we took a boat trip around the island hoping to get inside the blue grotto but with a wait of over an hour we decided to abandon that idea and head back to the island to enjoy one last meal before heading to Sorrento by ferry. Sorrento was also stunning, with beautiful light, amazing architecture and views of Pompeii to die for. We even managed to squeeze in a few hours by the pool!
In between all this sightseeing we did also shoot a fabulous wedding at the Cloisters followed by a reception at the Foreigners Club, but that is another blog post all of it’s own! 🙂
Bye-bye Capri, hello Sorrento!
