Jenny & Stuart were married just before Christmas at St George’s Hall in Liverpool followed by an amazing celebration at Oh Me Oh My.
When I arrived at the house in the morning for bridal prep I was welcomed with open arms, given a cup of tea and shown the most stunning beaded dress, the cutest little bridal boots and a one-of-a-kind brooch bouquet made by Jenny’s super talented mum! Things got a bit more excitable (and noisy!) once the bridesmaids arrived and preparations began to pick up pace. Before I knew it Jenny was dressed and I was whizzing off to the city centre, hoping the rain would stay off and the traffic wouldn’t be too manic with Christmas shoppers. One of my wishes came true anyway and I arrived in plenty of time for the ceremony!
The couple were married in the beautiful Concert Hall in an emotional yet lighthearted ceremony, even Jenny & Stuart’s little boys got involved with Joseph giving a little speech and Max, well Max was just being a typical toddler!
Following the ceremony friends and family gathered round to congratulate the newlyweds before I dragged them outside to do some portraits, using the art installation Weeping Window as a backdrop and before the last of the light completely disappeared. They didn’t seem to notice the wind and the rain as they cuddled together, though my hair certainly took a beating!
On to the wedding reception at Oh Me Oh My where we warmed up surrounded by a Christmas tree, twinkly lights and several stags! The couple danced their way into the room to “I Gotta Feeling” then got everyone else up out of their seats for a sing-a-long! Jenny’s dad, Stuart’s two best men and Stuart all gave brilliant speeches but the star of the show was Joseph who delivered his own speech to his mum (he’s only just turned four and is an amazing reader!) I was almost in tears so poor Jenny didn’t stand a chance!
Once everyone had been fed and watered it was time for the party to really begin! I witnessed some crazy dance moves as I was packing up to leave and could tell it was going to be a brilliant night!
Thank you for having me along to capture your day Jenny and Stu, it was amazing, despite the rain! 🙂
