Rainy wedding photography in Cheshire
Well folks, summer is officially over and with all the rain we’ve had lately I’ve been reminded of Helen & Ian and their very wet wedding at Ness Gardens back in June!
Usually I tell anyone worrying about wet weather on their wedding day that it’ll be fine, there’s always a break in the rain and we can just run outside for group photos and couple portraits whenever we can! Helen & Ian’s big day was a little different. There was no break in the rain. Not one. All day.
Luckily, these guys were absolute legends and refused to let a bit of water ruin their day! The outdoor ceremony they had set their hearts on went ahead as planned, albeit under umbrellas! And when I asked if they minded getting a bit wet so we could explore the gardens for their couple portraits they didn’t hesitate.
You don’t book a wedding ceremony at Ness and then not take advantage of the stunning surroundings! So, equipped with some brollies we took a walk and managed to capture some lovely, relaxed pictures (though changing lenses was interesting whilst trying to hold my bag and an umbrella!)
From Ness we headed to the very cosy (read warm and dry) Pollards Inn in Neston for the wedding breakfast. A really laid back and informal affair which suited the new Mr & Mrs Jones perfectly!
Here is what they had to say about their day!
“Just too much to say in a few words about this fab woman!! Emma is such a happy, colourful and lovely lady which is also exactly how her pictures should be summed up! Despite the torrential rain on our wedding day (outside ceremony I might add!) Emma happily accepted the challenge and produced some stunningly bright and beautiful photos for us. We could not be happier!”
Thank you Helen & Ian for asking me to be a part of your big day, it has been one of the highlights of my 2017 wedding season, despite the pesky rain! 🙂
xx
