Everyone, I’d like you to meet Louie! Isn’t he gorgeous?!
I had the pleasure of meeting this cheeky chap and his mum Jasmine a few weeks ago on a sunny Sunday in Liverpool. Louie was one of the winners of the doggy models competition I ran on Facebook at the end of last year. I was so pleased a Staffy was one of the winners as they’re my favourite breed of dog, being a mad Staffy mummy myself!
Staffies have had a bit of a rough time in the press over the past few years and I have personally been affected by the prejudice some people have against these dogs. This shoot was originally intended as a portfolio building exercise so I could offer dog portraits in Liverpool, but it’s evolved a bit and I’ve also decided to do a photo project specifically for Staffies to show what wonderful, loving and funny characters they are! Now back to Louie! As you can probably see from the photos below, he’s a mummy’s boy! Jasmine fell in love with him as soon as she saw him 2 years ago! He is such a loving, well-natured, happy boy and had so much fun running round the skate park while I tried to take some shots! Jasmine told me that he loves to play Fetch with sticks and his squeaky ball and going on adventures with his doggy mates! He also loves to get muddy, and won’t hesitate to go for a paddle or a swim if there’s water nearby! Most of all though, Louie loves his tummy tickles, hugs, snuggles and sloppy kisses. He’s a big softy and has brought a lot of love and happiness to his owner’s life! A lot like my boy Cooper!
