Everyman Theatre Wedding – Louise & James

Everyman Theatre WeddingIf you’re planning your wedding and want to have a relaxed and informal day, you might want to have a look at what Louise & James did for their Everyman Theatre wedding back in August of last year!

These two are seriously laid back and wanted to reflect that in their plans for the big day. The most important thing to them was getting married, everything else was a bonus!
The ceremony took place at St Peter’s Church in Woolton. In this church resides the most relaxed and hilarious Rector I have ever met! Kip’s speech during the ceremony involved a set of ladders, paint, water and a bike! A first for me and he had everyone in stitches! James had also put together a beautiful slideshow which was played on a big screen. It showed some of the amazing adventures the couple and their families have been on and also the moment he proposed which he’d secretly recorded. It was enough to bring a tear to my eye, seriously romantic stuff!

After the service at St Peters, everyone headed to the Everyman where the couple were greeted by all their guests who were waiting for them on the balcony with a tonne of confetti! After that it was on with the important stuff, Prosecco and canapes!
As Louise and James had a lot of family and friends who had traveled from afar they wanted to have an informal reception to give everyone a chance to mill around and catch up. The Everyman is the perfect venue for that chilled out, relaxed feel. There is space upstairs for mingling and dancing and then in the Bistro downstairs is where the buffet of pulled meats, chips and salad was served. Guests just grabbed their food as and when they were ready! No sit down meal and also, no speeches! Louise’s dad did get up and say a few words but the formal speeches had been done the night before at a family meal at The Clove Hitch on Hope Street.
I asked Louise and James what their favourite memories were of their special day and this is what they said:
“The party! Dance offs, the Macarena and the limbo, which resulted in one pair of split suit pants. Boss! Our most favourite part though was having all of our nearest and dearests in one room. Everyone there meant so much to us.We tried to keep it simple but, in our opinion, it was a winning formula!”
It certainly was Mr & Mrs Davison and I loved every minute of it!! Thank you! xx
