Nicola & Alex had a beautiful and relaxed winter wedding at Crabwell Manor at the end of last year, my final wedding of 2016 actually. And what a lovely way to end a fantastic year!
Bridal prep started at Nicola’s parents’ house on the Wirral before making our way (under a threatening sky) to St. Bartholomew’s Church in Thurstaston. As we were about to head into the church there was a bit of a commotion as it became apparent that the wedding rings had been left at home! Luckily it didn’t take Nicola’s dad too long to leg it back to the house and return with them!
The church was a lovely, intimate setting for the ceremony and everyone enjoyed the little personal touches that the vicar Jayne added to proceedings. After the knot had been officially tied there was some time for mingling with guests before heading to Crabwell Manor for the celebrations to begin!
Great food, good company and crazy singing and dancing followed but the highlight of the day might have been during the speeches when Alex found himself being heckled by one of the younger members of the wedding party!
Mr & Mrs Hirst, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your big day! It was so lovely to spend time with you both and all your family and friends! xxxx
Special thanks to Jen who recommended me to Nicola as well as everybody else she comes into contact with!! xxxx
