Katie and Adrian were married last summer at the stunning Hillbark Hotel on the Wirral.
Katie is a make-up artist and Adrian is a stunt man and both work in TV and film! The couple didn’t want their big day to be in any way traditional so instead opted for a glamorous movie premiere themed wedding, complete with red carpet for the guests to pose on for pictures! In keeping with the movie premiere theme Adrian wore a dashing tuxedo reminiscent of James Bond while Katie chose a stunning Stella McCartney gown with gold chain detail on the neck and back and an amazing pair of gold Tom Ford shoes!
The day started at Katie’s parents’ house where all the girls were getting ready, Katie was even working on her big day making sure everyone’s make-up was spot on! The bridesmaids all wore black and white dresses, no bouquets of flowers for this wedding party though, all the better for holding champagne glasses!
It was raining all morning so the wedding ceremony was held in the main hall at Hillbark, and what a wonderful ceremony it was! Full of smiles and laughs and singing of Beatles songs before vows and rings were exchanged!
The rest of the day carried on in the same vein as Katie and Adrian’s lovely families and friends helped them celebrate. One highlight being the hilarious bridesmaids’ speeches complete with slideshow of Katie’s “best bits”! Between rain showers we had some time for portraits and Adrian and the groomsmen took the opportunity to show off some of their stunt man skills!
The evening celebrations were lively and full of laughs, starting with the amazing Iain Moran who wowed the guests with his magic skills before the couple took to the floor for their first dance, closely followed by the rest of the guests who were not shy when it came to partying! 🙂
